The Willows is part of the 15.8-acre Columbia Drive Urban Revitalization Area in east Kennewick. The Port, City of Kennewick and Benton County have partnered to transform the former industrial neighborhood into a waterfront destination.

As development at Columbia Gardens Urban Wine & Artisan Village advances, it will pave the way for additional residential and commercial development.

The Willows is within Kennewick’s Historic Waterfront District. View the Historic Waterfront District Master Plan in the plans tab below and learn more about the community input received during the 2020/2021 planning process on the master planning web page.

The Willows Plans

Under the proposed plan, The Willows, located between Clover Island and historic downtown Kennewick, will offer a mix of residential and complementary commercial enterprises and open public spaces.

Redevelopment Progress & Community Support

The Willows site redevelopment preparation was years in the making and involved clean-up support from groups throughout the community.

With that cleanup complete the paved pathway and nearby pond have been transformed into an inviting area for visitors and wildlife alike.

Parcels are available for sale or ground lease for private-sector commercial investment, which could include restaurants, specialty food shops or retail businesses.
